On my visit to #Dubai this time, I bought a cycle because I figured I could learn about the city much more than walking or using a taxi.
Your feet don’t take you far, and so you restrict yourself within the confines of where your hotel, company, or home. A car takes you far but too fast. You miss out on the details, and you cant use the by-lanes where life happens.
The cycle is the only transportation that allows you to explore at a pace where you get a chance to observe and absorb all the sights and sounds around you. It’s the most intimate form of travel.
I have been to Dubai umpteen times but never seen it like I did this time. Thanks to the cycle, in addition to all the health benefits and fun, it offers an opportunity to slow down and learn.
